Introduction of the fashion designers of the International Sustainable Fashion Show/
A Nemzetközi Fenntartható Divatbemutató tervezőinek bemutatása!
The special guest of the fashion show is Francesca Riillo, the Italian winner of the Circular Fashion Contest. Many things can be reimagined in fashion – according to Francesca, even sheets. The concept behind the FRii Shirt brand is to design gender- and season-neutral pieces that are made from discarded hotel bedding. Made of 100% cotton in white, every detail, from the buttons made of semola to the zero waste, represents a new way of thinking about fashion: clean, refined, ethical and, last but not least, beautiful Italian design.
Another collaboration will debut on the catwalk, with models wearing jewelry by Hungarian designer Brigitta B. Horváth to complement Francesca’s clothes. These pieces of jewelry have sculptural value, with the crafted metals, copper, and silver shapes radiating organic energy: each piece reflects the power of nature and the delicacy of the human soul. Brigitta’s world begins where fashion transcends trends—and jewelry becomes a bridge between body, mind, and emotion.

The highlight of the evening is American Rashad Warren with his brand Phos Incantation, who is making his first appearance in Central Europe thanks to sponsorship from Air France. Warren’s brand builds a vision from the unfulfilled promises of childhood: a world where the future does not fail, but takes shape. The long, dreamlike vests and meticulously handcrafted pieces made from recycled materials in the “Trio of Peace” collection are like a manifesto: a personal promise to a better world. Starting in New Orleans, she shapes hope into wearable reality through sustainable couture and avant-garde visions.
Croatian Vedrana Jurišinac, also participated in the Circular Fashion Competition, combines tradition and sustainability in her Dada i Dunda collection. She creates contemporary women’s clothing from old Slavonian household textiles – tablecloths, decorative towels, bed linen. The clothes in the SLAVONIKA collection tell a story, bear a signature, show respect and offer a slice of reimagined heritage.
Amres Art Gallery x Olesė Kekienė
“Heritage Reimagined: Timeless Design” evokes the wisdom of ancient cultures while finding a new voice in contemporary fashion. The clean, zero-waste lines follow the ancient tradition of rectangular-based clothing construction, while the textiles are brought to life with hand-painted, UNESCO-recognized batik techniques that evoke former ritual symbols. This collection is not just clothing, but memory, resistance, and connection—the message of the past through the textiles of the future. The Lithuanian designers are also bringing a wonderful film, which will be screened as part of a separate accompanying program.
Asian designers are also represented in these themes. We can admire the collections of three Taiwanese designers, all of whom are students and staff members of the Textile and Clothing Department at Fu Jen Catholic University, which is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year. They recently presented their work at London Fashion Week and are preparing new creations for the 9th#GSFW. In Chung-Ching Lu’s works, form and detail engage in dialogue, reflecting the subtle layers of contemporary Asian aesthetics and a vision of the future where beauty is timeless, not flashy. “Impermanence” is the beauty of transience as seen in Buddhist philosophy: blossoming and passing, a moment that leaves its mark.
Po-Ling Wu’s collection translates this idea into textiles. Her new garments, made from flawed materials and textile waste, bear the marks of time: fading, memory, transformation. She elevates the traditional Tang dress silhouette and handcrafted fastenings to a contemporary cut, while zippers are replaced by cords and buttons—a conscious presence of the human hand and intention.
In Tsung-Yu Chan’s collections, nature is not an inspiration – it is a raw material. Recycled textiles, marine waste, waterless technologies, and motifs from Taiwanese landscapes come together in contemporary, relaxed silhouettes. Every piece from the TSUNG YU CHAN brand carries an environmentally conscious message: nature’s forms can be worn and preserved.
Hungarian designers will also represent sustainable fashion and its diversity at a high level.
Andrea Zimits‘ collections are like a memory book retold – old tapestries, embroideries, and antique metalwork are brought back to life as sustainable, unique garments. The pieces in the “Awakening of Nature” collection connect the past with the style of the present through hand-sewn boro stitches. Each garment is handmade, one-of-a-kind, and created according to the zero waste principle. Andrea doesn’t just make clothes – she also creates connections: between fashion, the environment, and the wearer.
nother Hungarian designer who has been promoting the concept of sustainable fashion at #GSFW for years, Megla Rózsa, founder and designer of NAVONA Fashion, will also be showcasing her new collection, which, in addition to using recycled materials from the aforementioned ocean waste, has other surprises in store. Rózsa has been dressing women seeking elegance for more than 28 years, and her clothes are made from natural materials—silk, linen, cotton—using zero-waste technology.
As far as surprises are concerned, the fashion show audience will have plenty to look forward to. We will see the versatile collection of craftsman designer Gyula Szabó, whose clothes preserve Hungarian traditions and are not just for dressing up, but also for remembering. He designs according to the philosophy of the “present past”: silhouettes, motifs, cords, and embroidery from the past are woven into today’s cuts. Each piece is made from natural materials, with handcrafted detail, and tailored to the individual, from design to sewing, all in one hand. The fashion show will be accompanied by live music, with the participation of Ábel Veress, an outstanding pianist, who will represent the Hungarian debut in the spirit of tradition, including the choice of music.

A divatbemutató kiemelt vendége, a Circular Fashion Contest olasz nyertese, Francesca Riillo. A divatban sok minden újra gondolható – Francesca szerint a lepedő is. A FRii Shirt márka koncepciója, hogy olyan nemhez és évszakhoz nem kötött darabokat tervez, melyek leselejtezett szállodai ágyneműkből születnek újjá. Fehér színben, 100% pamutból készülnek, a semolából készült gomboktól a zéró hulladékig minden részlet egy új divat gondolkodást képvisel: tiszta, letisztult, etikus és nem utolsósorban szép olasz dizájn. A kifutón egy újabb kooperáció is fog debütálni, Francesca ruháihoz a modellek a magyar B. Horváth Brigitta ékszereit fogják viselni. Ezek az ékszerek szobrászi értékkel bírnak, a megmunkált fémek, a réz és ezüst formák organikus energiát sugároznak: minden darab a természet erejét és az emberi lélek finomságát tükrözi. Brigitta világa ott kezdődik, ahol a divat túlmutat a trendeken – és az ékszer híd lesz test, gondolat és érzelem között.
Az est nagy meglepetése lesz az amerikai Rashad Warren, Phos Incantation márkájával, aki az Air France szponzorációnak köszönhetően érkezik első Közép-Európai bemutatkozására. A divat néha gyógyítás Warren szerint. Márkája a gyermekkor beteljesületlen ígéreteiből épít víziót: egy világot, ahol a jövő nem elbukik, hanem testet ölt. A „Trio of Peace” kollekció hosszú, álomszerű mellényei és újrahasznosított anyagokból, kézzel, aprólékos munkával megalkotott darabjai olyanok, akár egy manifesztum: sajátkezű ígéret a világ szebbik arca felé. New Orleansból indulva, fenntartható couture-ön és avantgárd látomásokon keresztül formálja a reményt viselhető valósággá.
A Körforgásos Divat Versenyen is résztvevő horvát Vedrana Jurišinac, Dada i Dunda kollekciója a hagyomány és a fenntarthatóság találkozása. Régi szlavón háztartási textilekből – asztalterítőkből, dísztörölközőkből, ágyneműkből – készít kortárs női ruhákat. A SLAVONIKA kollekció ruháiban ott a történet, a kézjegy, a tisztelet és egy szelet újrafogalmazott örökség.
Litván tervezők is érkeziknek Magyarországra, Amres Art Gallery x Olesė Kekienė: „Örökség újra gondolva: Időtlen dizájn” ősi kultúrák bölcsességét idézi meg, miközben a kortárs divatban talál új hangot. A letisztult, zero waste szabásvonalak az ősi, téglalap-alapú ruhakészítés hagyományát követik, a textíliákon pedig kézzel festett, UNESCO által elismert batik technikával elevenednek meg az egykori rituális szimbólumok. Ez a kollekció nemcsak ruházat, hanem emlékezés, ellenállás és kapcsolódás – a régiek üzenete a jövő textiljén keresztül. A litván tervezők egy csodálatos filmet is hoznak, amely külön kísérő program keretében kerül vetítésre.
Az ázsiai tervezők sem hiányozhatnak ezekhez a témákhoz kapcsolódóan. 3 tajvani tervező kollekcióját csodálhatjuk meg, mindhárman az idén a 100. évfordulóját ünneplő Fu Jen Katolikus Egyetem Textil- és Ruházati Tanszékének hallgatói, munkatársai, akik nemrég a London Fashion Weeken is bemutatkoztak, és a 9th#GSFW-re új alkotásokkal készülnek.
Chung-Ching Lu munkáiban a forma és a részlet párbeszédet folytat, a kortárs ázsiai esztétika finom rétegeit tükrözik és egy olyan jövőképet, ahol a szépség időtálló, nem harsány. Az „Impermanence” a mulandóság szépsége, ahogy a buddhista filozófia látja: virágzás és elmúlás, nyomot hagyó pillanat.
Po-Ling Wu kollekciója e gondolatot textilbe öltözteti. Hibás anyagokból és textilhulladékból született új ruhadarabjai az idő nyomait őrzik: fakulás, emlék, átalakulás. A tradicionális Tang-ruha szabásvonalait és kézműves záróelemeit kortárs szabásrendbe emeli, miközben a zipzárakat zsinórok és gombok váltják fel – az emberi kéz és szándék tudatos jelenléteként.
Tsung-Yu Chan kollekcióiban a természet nem inspiráció – hanem alapanyag. Újrahasznosított textíliák, tengeri hulladék, vízmentes technológiák és tajvani tájak motívumai találkoznak kortárs, laza sziluettekben. A TSUNG YU CHAN márka minden darabja egy környezettudatos üzenet: a természet formái viselhetők – és megőrzendők.
A magyar tervezők is magas színvonalon fogják képviselni fenntartható divatot és annak sokszínűségét.
Zimits Andrea kollekciói olyanok, mint egy emlékkönyv újra mesélve – régi gobelinek, hímzések, antik ötvösmunkák kelnek új életre fenntartható, egyedi ruhadarabokként. A „Természet ébredése” darabjai kézzel varrt boro-öltésekkel kapcsolják össze a múltat a jelen stílusával. Minden ruha saját kezű alkotás, megismételhetetlen darab, zero waste elv mentén. Andrea nem csupán ruhát készít – hanem kapcsolatot is: a divat, a környezet és a viselő között.
A másik magyar tervező, aki már évek óta a #GSFW fenntartható divat koncepcióját is képviseli, Megla Rózsa a NAVONA Fashion alapítója és tervezője is kifutóra viszi új kollekcióját, amely a már említett óceáni hulladékból újrahasznosított anyag használaton kívül további meglepetéseket tartogat. Rózsa több mint 28 éve öltözteti az eleganciát kereső nőket, ruhái természetes anyagokból – selyem, len, pamut – készülnek zero waste technológiával.
Ami a meglepetéseket illeti, ebben bőven lesz része a divatbemutató közönségének.
Láthatjuk Szabó Gyula sokoldalú kézműves tervező kollekcióját, a magyar hagyományokat őrző ruháit, ezek nem csupán öltöztetnek – emlékeztetnek. A „jelenmúlt” filozófiája szerint tervez: mai szabásba sző múltból idézett sziluetteket, motívumokat, zsinórokat, hímzéseket. Minden egyes darab természetes anyagokból, kézműves részletességgel, személyre szabva készül – a tervezéstől a varrásig, egyetlen kézben. Divatbemutatóját élő zene fogja kísérni, Veress Ábelnek, a kitűnő zongoraművésznek a közreműködése a bemutatón, a zene választást is beleértve, méltón fogja képviselni a magyar bemutatkozást a hagyományőrzés jegyében.
